Fujitsu fi-6400

Description

The Fujitsu fi-6400 is a very compact production scanner for documents up to DIN A3. As a “fi-series” member it is built on advanced technology and offers at the same time the best cost/performance ratio in its class.

Performance

The Fujitsu fi-6400 scans at speeds up to 100 ppm (A4 landscape) / 85 ppm (A4 portrait) at 200 or 300 dpi. The scanner’s automatic document feeder holds up to 500 A3 sheets (80gm2) and provides advanced feeding technology to ensure productive batch scanning for small and mid-size (SMB) production environments.

Ergonomics

With a very compact design the Fujitsu fi-6400 fits on each desk. The large hopper for up to 500 A3 sheets is ideal for productive batch scanning. Front loading feeding mechanism as well as the scanner’s low height allows operators to even perform scanning tasks while sitting ergonomically at the desk. The Automatic Stacker ensures that after the scan process all documents are stacked neat and tidy and thus reduces post scan tasks to a minimum. Near silent operation makes the Fujitsu fi-6400 also perfect for all office environments. The wide flip-up cover ensures easy access and obstacle-free cleaning.

The Fujitsu fi-6800 is easy to use, due to its LCD screen that allows you to check and configure statuses. With a short LED pre-heating time, the scanner is operational quickly and uses very little power in standby mode.

Features

The Fujitsu fi-6400 offers the same advanced productivity features which are available to all Fujitsu high-end models. The Intelligent Multi-Feed Function improves efficiency by ignoring documents that would trigger false multi-feed alerts, i.e. when photos are attached documents. Paper Protection System which is based on paper and roller movement sensors helps to avoid damage to the documents even at high scanning speeds. Included with the Fujitsu fi-6400 scanner is the new PaperStream Software. The PaperStream IP ISIS/TWAIN driver automatically creates high quality images without manual adjustments for black and white, greyscale, colour or multi image output. The PaperStream Capture batch scanning software is an easy to use application, which also features patch code and barcode recognition functions. Once detected, files can be automatically transferred to a new sub-folder to speed up and automate scanning. If barcodes are used, the files and folders can even be named using the information encapsulated in the barcode.
