Fujitsu fi-7480

Description

The Fujitsu fi-7460 and fi-7480 are the smallest A3-capable scanners of their class. This makes them ideal for office use to scan all types of documents across different departments. Their wide range feeding ability includes regular A8 to A3 sizes, as well as folded A2 and even A1 size formats or documents as long as 5.5 meters.

Ergonomics

With its quiet operation, compact design and extremely small footprint, the Fujitsu fi-7480 fits even on smaller desks and is ideal for all office environments. The scanner provides excellent paper handling, using independent driving rollers for better alignment of documents during scanning (Mechanical Deskew). The scanner’s iSOP (Intelligent Sonic Paper Protection) acoustic system detects stapled or non-aligned documents and thus prevents damage and paper jams.

Features

With Fujitsu fi-7480 no pre-sorting for mixed batch scanning is required. The transport mechanism can handle document thicknesses from 27 to 413 g/m2 and the ADF holds up to 100 documents from A8 to A3.

Plastic cards can be handled as well, even up to three within a mixed batch of documents. Fujitsu’s PaperStream IP ISIS/TWAIN driver ensures perfect image quality upon capture for all these document types. With the intuitive batch scan software PaperStream Capture, users can create and manage scan profiles which are used to scan, index, sort and release documents. Like all fi-series models, the Fujitsu fi-7480 includes a remote administration tool for managing several scanners (driver and software update management, consumables management, maintenance, etc.).

Performance

The Fujitsu fi-7480 scans efficiently large volumes of documents. With a speed of 80 ppm /160 ipm (A4, landscape, colour, 200 or 300 dpi) and highly reliable paper feeding mechanism, fi-7480 is capable of handling an average of 12,000 sheets per day.
